Running of the business. Responsible for everything. Must lead a team, delegate and follow up to ensure results are hit.
Yes. Interesting to learn about operations management and leading and managing people. Two key elements of my role
The programme is interesting and good. It is challenging managing a work/life/study balance.
Generally well organised. Skills coach changed after 3 months. Not great for continuity. But generally good.
Plenty. I am given freedom to schedule the time I need for my apprenticeship. I am trusted to complete this at appropriate times.
Tutors and skills coaches are generally very helpful. They go the extra mile to ensure we do well. This is reflected in the results.
It definitely allows me to improve my performance. I am able to apply the theory behind some things I did anyway, which really helps me to understand the importance of it.
Yes, although these are sometimes limited. The franchise group has very limited events and it’s difficult for the whole of McDonalds to do an event together.
Yes
It is a great place to learn new skills. It may be a starting point for some, but it can also be a great career for others.
McDonald’s doesn’t require a huge number of natural skills or academic ability. The thing that will make you stand out is attitude. Those that want to do well and work hard, usually end up doing well!.
