I enjoy my role as it it busy. Day-to-day I work on contracts that go to the Ministry of Defence for Typhoons that they buy off BAE
I have learnt how to interact with people from around the business and the customer in a formal manner through emails. I have developed my communication, team work and leadership skills.
I really enjoy the pace of the program and the actual work that is involved.
From starting the program to now, it has been very well structure. In the first week of the job I had received a full 2 year plan of how the apprenticeship will run and it has been stuck to.
I receive a good amount, however in the busy times it's hard for some of the team to find time to help.
I receive all the help I require which has been a big help.
I don't think it helps me as the educational side of things is very broad to business, whereas on the job is quite niche.
There are events that get held and within the teams I have been in, there has been activities to get involved in, however I think they could be more often.
Yes
Lots of opportunities, great benefits, great schemes, great people to work with and great support.
If you don't get on the scheme first try, keep applying until you get in (it's worth it!). Research the company and attend lots of open days to ask questions.
