I am a Cyber Security Incident Response Analyst. I ensure that there are no malicious threats for my organisation and that all the tickets that come through the system are resolved. I ensure that I analyse all the possible scenarios and spot repetitive behaviours that might be a risk for my organisation.
I learned new skills, such as be proactive with my stakeholders. I enhanced traits like my communication and presentation skills. I developed technical skills on automation that allowed me to participate in innovative projects. I have the opportunity to develop my skills further and apply my learning on my work.
I enjoy the program a lot. I was an IT Graduate before I secured a role in cyber. It was very fulfilling and the greatest learning. The learning on the job aspect of the apprenticeship is what gave me further confidence to continue and develop my skills. I think it was a great opportunity and I am grateful for that.
The programme is very well structured from Bupa's side. Bupa is always transparent in what the expectations are. From the training provider's side the programme could have been better structured as a lot of information were not clear from the beginning. Bupa made everything easy for us to understand.
Bupa is very supportive. I have been provided with material, time and knowledge on the job. Everyone is very helpful and available for me. I have all the tools and access that I need to complete my apprenticeship. I am also recognised for my work, which is the biggest reward for me as a professional and a student.
My training provider is supportive in terms of providing assistance when I ask for it. Overall Henley Business School could have been better organised. For example the admin side of the apprenticeship was not clear from the beginning. The training provider offers help overall by organising drop-in calls to support us in our progress.
My qualification helps me perform better because of the behaviours that I have developed. For example I enhanced my leadership skills and I am better in my communication with my stakeholders. I learned more on automation, which I try to implement in my job role. Overall, I feel more confident as a professional after my qualification.
There are social activities at work. These are professional networking events, technology roadshows, hackathons, social activities, Christmas nights and game nights. Bupa is dedicated to provide a happy environment for its employees and is organising team building activities when there is time and budget. Each head office will also organise separately social activities for everyone to join.
