  • I have learned various skills throughout my apprenticeship at sage. The main new skill being the use of Sitecore and how to utilise it to its full potential to recognise opportunities for growth or using automation to work more productively. I have also used skills from my project management course to be able to look at how projects can be better managed in my organisation.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme a great amount. I have had the oppertunity to learn new skills both on and off the job. Its great to be able to learn a course while seeing examples of course content happening inside the day to day role. Its also nice to see the value of what I have learned being used in my role now.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My programme is well structured I had 1 call each month to go through content in preperation for my APM exam as well as being given an assignment on the content which I was able to later add to my portfolio. The deadlines were really clear and I was comfortable and aware of who to reach out to for help with my assignment or revision.

  • I get great support from my employer my manager has a good understanding of the course content and was able to provide me with different examples of evidence of work I have completed which would relate to the course content. • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I recieve a great amount of support from my training provider, I was assigned different mentors throughout the course of my apprenticeship, all of them had a quick response on email whenever I reached out to them for further advice or assistance. If I was unsure of the course content they were able to relay it back to me by explaining different real world examples to help me to further understand the content.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of new opportunities to get involved in at Sage. We have the Sage Foundation which allows us to complete work for charity during working hours, this can be by volunteering at places like farms, tidying up around residential areas, helping out at charity shops. We also have the opportunity to talk at careers fairs and schools about our own journeys being an apprentice.

  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Its a great company to work for. They care about their colleagues, we have pride @ sage where the company prides itself on treating all colleagues equally. Everyone at Sage (managers, colleagues) are all really friendly and will help you to grow into a particular area of interest which gives great opportunities to further your career.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Sage?
  • You might not have a plan of what you want to do in the future (I know I didn't) but Sage is a large company with a variety of different departments, when applying showcase your passions and if successful continue to make them known to your manager as there may be a role suited to them that they will help you to grow into.
