My job includes training people on different stations around the store, helping any new starts to further their knowledge of the procedures that we must follow. I also help to provide customers with the best customer service and food that we provide on our large menu, helping to meet gold standards.
I have developed my knowledge on diversity and respect for those of different cultures and religions within the work place, and knowing why this is important. I have also learnt what different types of body language can mean when talking to customers or when approaching customers to ask them a question or resolving situations.
I quite like the programme I do as it develops my knowledge on hospitality and the best way of dealing with different types of customers. The platform that i use as-well is very easy to navigate and the work is straightforward, laying out what the task is and what you have to do to achieve it.
My programme is fully laid out with what tasks I need to do and where the end goal is. I also have progress reviews to see if I need help with anything. everything is clearing laid out weather i’m on track and what things i need to develop on.
I receive a lot of support whether it’s people checking up on me or to help me along with my work, everyone is very helpful and they are always there for any questions I may have. There is also someone to help with mental health helping to guide me through any issues I may be having.
I receive a lot of help from everyone to help me to get towards my end goal, everyone is very supportive. Any questions I have about any work or where these qualifications may end up, someone will always be there to answer them for me and reassure me on what i’m doing.
All my training has helped me to before better at performing in my job role, weather it’s about how to treat my customers and co workers better. I also know a lot more about procedures within the workplace, why they are there and why we do them to keep everyone safe and to keep our food standards as high as possible.
I was recently in the McDonald’s football tournament, we had a great day out (even without winning) meeting others who do the same job we do. I’ve also helped in the litter picking we did around corby to help clean up the community helping others to do the same too.

I think that the apprenticeship is a great way to develop your knowledge on the job as-well as getting a qualifications from it. Everyone is so supportive and if there’s any help you need within any part of the course there’s always going to be someone there to help.
Just to be yourself when interviewed, personality on the job is key. Having initiative is really important as well, it’s a fast pace job that needs a lot of brain power. being able to work as a team as well is very important as everything in the job is a chain that everyone needs to work together to help it run smoothly.
