I support our employees to be the best that they can be by finding courses for them to do, creating learning content, helping them to access digital learning, and delivering training sessions.
I've learned a lot about project management, stakeholder management, prioritisation and I'm just starting to learn how to manage a budget. I've also learns how to create digital e-learns which was very fun.
The programme Tutor is the best thing about my course because she's worked for over 20 years in the industry and she really helps me not just with the course but with my role as well. My Manager plans my work really well so I can practice what I've learned on the course.
The programme had a shaky start but we're in a great place now and I'm halfway in and everything is really falling into place. We have our teaching sessions booked in advance as well as my next few catch ups with the Tutor so I think its well organised. There's also a digital portal where I can see what e-learns I've got to do this month.
My Manager gives me full autonomy to manage my own diary and plan in study time when I need it. She gets me involved in projects to help me get the practical exposure to the things we're learning on the course.
The Tutor is available for advice and guidance all of the time. I asked for more frequent catch ups so I can ask her questions and she's booked them in every fortnight which is really great.
The qualification has really supported my development because I feel more confident to do my role and I'm certain that by the time I finish the course I'll be ready for the next step up in my career.
There are lots of workplace activities to get involved in. I'm part of the equality and diversity group so get to support social events such as celebrating Pride, religious festivals and mental health awareness.

The variety of courses you can chose is great. They're also keen to develop staff internally so you can change career without even leaving the company.
Be yourself, make sure you've researched our values, and you've had a good long chat with the recruiter about the role so you really understand it.
