  • Working with young people who are cared for by the Local authority. Supporting them with emotional, health and well-being. 20% off the job time spent either studying or shadowing social work teams.

  • I look forward to the days when I am in university, learning a new topic which relates to my role.

  • Extremely well organised, full year handbook given at the start of the year with the subject and module information, assignment dates and lecturer information.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Part of my monthly supervision is set aside to discuss my course, also have another member of staff who is my mentor and receive monthly sessions from them.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • MMU are very supportive, mentor provided by the university. Disability support and package provided. Lecturers are friendly and available to speak to and get hold of via email.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Helped to improve my confidence and understanding particularly of the social work theories. This compliments the work that I was already completing and the reasons why they are done in a particular way.
