Mechanical and electrical engineering , my day to day consist of a range of different tasks. For example repairing pumps and motors to replacing belts and general maintenance on plant equipment. I work either independently or with others in my team to carry out these jobs
Yes i have learnt many new skills and lot of new knowledge since being at Thames water. One of these skills is testing electrical equipment
I very much enjoy my programme, i was scared to begin with however i currently couldn't see myself doing anything else. It is very hands on which i personally enjoy
My programme is well organised but like any programme some improvements could be made and any serious concerns have been dealt with quickly
My employer provides any support needed. We have regular catch ups and any concerns or queries i have my employer will try his best to resolve them or help me find a solution to my problem
The support from my training provider is provided when needed. Reaching out for help from the college is always recognised and they will try their best to provide support
Somethings i learn through my training provider are very beneficial to me in the work place however i feel sometimes we learn things with our training provider that doesn't relate to our specific role
Yes there is always something going on outside of work like lunch and learns or the yearly raft race

I believe it is a good company to work for
Even if you are unsure just try, there is no harm in trying and you dont know what you will be good at until you give it a go
