Managing and delegating to a team. Overnight liquour stock and keeping a tight hold over stock levels. Organising key events and planning how to implement them within the business. Training new members of team and further training our current team. We work on the bar and complete full table service.
I have learnt how to be more confident within my current team and also with our new members of team. I have learnt how to be a leader and help our team to feel included and progressed. I now know how to successfully complete business reviews and look and plan for certain situations.
When I finally got a main trainer he was very supportive and patient. He explained everything that needed to be completed and where to find all the supporting documents that would support my learning. He checked in with me regular to make sure I was on track and updated me where I was up to often.
Aptem worked really well with this programme and it was well organised. It’s clear where you need to upload your work onto and gives a step by step guide on how to upload it. It is also easy to find the training element on it to complete your work.
A lot more than I could ask for. She includes me in all the decisions and always ask my opinions about things. She always checks in to see if we need anything and always offers support. She keep the team well up to date every week on how the business is running
My training provider supported me a lot during my time on this programme. He always checked in to see how I was getting on and checked if I needed any support. He always checked on my progress and boosted my confidence ion how well I was doing. He always offered supper
I have used all the information and learning that’s I’ve done from This qualification to adapt it into my role but bettering my leader ship styles and understanding how other people work this allows me to support people based on how they learn to get the best out of them
We have some meeting that we attend every few months where we meet with other people in the same roles but from different pubs. This gives us an opportunity to discuss our concerns in each pub and support each other in overcoming them or find out a best practise. Our pubs support us.
Yes
Greeneking offer a wide range of support for all employees from financial problems to mental well-being problems and also they offer a staff discount to use in other pubs and against high street stores. This gives employees the chance to receive a discount from shops they regularly shop at and half price hotel stays.
The advice that was given to me was to stay focussed and always aim for higher. The company gives so many opportunities to progress and develop your career as long as you’re willing to put in the effort yourself. It’s important to work hard and support your employee around you
