I review customers proposals and judge whether their proposed works are likely to cause damage to our infrastructure.
i have developed my formal writing skills by being in constant communication with customers. as well as developing my presenting skills through presenting to my team. I have learnt new skills such as how to make study estimates and raise invoices for customers.
I thoroughly enjoy my programme as it teaches me very valuable skills in a work environment as well as getting to learn about civil engineering at university.
My programme is very well structured as i am surrounded by a talented team that can help me when any issues.
My employer has been very helpful with supporting me. they have made it very clear that no matter what issue i have i can go to someone and i can get the sufficient help.
My team is full of qualified engineers that have completed similar courses and are more than happy to help on any given project.
I feel as though i can excel in my role because i am being taught all the necessary skills through my training provider.
TW offer many event, there has been a number of apprentice/graduate events so far this year which i have attended and enjoyed. they also offer events for the wider company such as the TW raft race and a social event at ascot racecourse last week which was to network and get to know people around the company. TW is a great environment no matter what level you are entering the company at. everyone is easy to talk with and they are very skilled workers to be around. The work life balance is very good as well as a favourable pension system.
Make sure that your skills and good qualities match well with the job role. Research a lot about the company to seen interested in what TW have going on in the news and be aware of any big projects that they have coming up. Look at the TW values and make sure you agree and comply with all of them.
