Managing the people in the business, stock ,guest scores, assisting the kitchen manager in his role and anything I can do to help, monitoring the consumables budgets and the use of items in and out of the business including takeaways. Looking into Health and Safety matters and applying contraventions to prevent any incidents.
Learned how to coach the team more effectively, learned the job role better, looking into the P and L report and how to action any losses for more effective periods. looking more into self development and what are my strengths and weaknesses. Developed my skills as an Assistant Manager to assist the GM.
It's been a fairly enjoyable experience, I've worked for the company for many years so i've developed many great relationships with fellow learners and the trainers. Overall this has made my job easier that I have greater skills to develop the team and to effectively manage the business.
It's a fairly well structured programme, having regular gaps between courses with great workshops to truly show understanding in the course.
Loads, as an MnB integrated course it is designed to be part of everyday tasks. With lots of GM and RBM support who are wanting you to succeed as it will be a benefit to the business and to the overall district as a whole. The trainers are also supported by the employer which is also an added benefit.
A lot, my trainers were always on time and always on hand to take any questions and support.
It helps me perform better in my role to point. I feel that it provides very good people skills and understanding of a lot of crucial paperwork that is in the industry as well as the company.
Loads of social activities, we have hit for 6 targets which when hit achieve gift cards for work team nights out, (just had ours in March). A lot of the team here have close social connections outside of work which leads to a great work environment. Leads to great mood in the workplace.

Great place to work with a clear structure of how to do things. You need to learn? You have MABLE and the apprenticeship schemes. You need to go through Safety? We have a HnS book at each site. MnB also has a clear achievement progress if it's just sales or career progression.
Just be yourself, We are always looking for great personalities to join the team to live, laugh and enjoy the team. Honesty is also a clear notion needed, any weaknesses we can work on when you are in the company.
