First port of call to a customer interested in a kitchen or bathroom. Take leads and assign them to a Design Consultant. I am currently on the becoming a Design Consultant Apprenticeship, this is teaching me all the skills needed to become a DC.
During the apprenticeship I have furthered my product knowledge as well as learned vital skills around sales and selling techniques.
I have been enjoying the apprenticeship but there have been some problems with Wickes Google systems which has meant lost or delayed work. Also, some of the information in the module breakdown is a little vague and isn't always clear about what it is they are asking you to do.
Some of it has been very repetitive, especially around the product module. Some parts feel a little out of sync too and certain elements seem like they should be in other modules.
My employers have been very supportive, I get help if I need it and get time I need to do the work.
I got the help I needed from my English and Maths tutors, and have passed all required Maths and English exams.
I don't think it's the qualification as such that helps me perform better, its the extra learning and information I've received during the apprenticeship that will help me perform better.
We have social activities I often take part in, this helps me bond with my colleagues.
Yes
Wickes are genuinely a good company to work for.
Be yourself.
