Due to the nature of my job, I support various departments at my organisation. I work as a team administrator where gathering data from various teams in the business, transforming the data and dispatching work colleagues to the incidents, as an employee trainer, and collecting qualitative and quantitative data in the field during flood and no water events.
I learned to analyse, collect, extract, blend, aggregate, scrap, clean, transform and governance the data. I developed existing skills e.g. working as part of a team, showing an organised approach and prioritising within the concept of the project.
I enjoyed the face-to-face training session at the Firebrand learning centre. All tutors were friendly and very helpful. The teaching program was great and engaging.
In my opinion, the structure of the program needs adjustments. I found that The data visualisation program contains a basic introduction to Excel. The course was at the end of the learning program, but I wish to see this at the beginning. However, the second block of training was much more intense and focused on users with advanced Excel skills.
I received access to the workload, which are typically is not accessible to me.
My training provider went above and beyond to prepare me for the final assessment.
I feel confident while working with data at my workplace. I see a lot of opportunities to improve company operations.
There are extra-curricular activities at my workplace, but due to the nature of my job, I can't always attend.

Thames Water is a great employer and allows individuals to grow their soft and hard skills. I like working for the Thames because of the following : -A company culture that cares for employee well-being - Giving employees the flexibility they seek - Investing in employee training and development - Investing in employees' health and wellness - Providing fair and competitive compensation
I would suggest staying patient while building knowledge about business operations. There is a lot to learn, but opportunities will come at the right time.
