I am a Technology Risk Analyst for EMEA Banking Technology. We aim to to evaluate and manage risk to allow us to partner with the regional business and face off to regulators, driving risk out of the organisation. My day to day role involves pulling/sorting data for different reports/meetings, meeting with people from all over the world to collect different kinds of information, organise and chase updates on different breaks/items to ensure deadlines are kept to and risk is supported.
Yes all kinds. Such as organisation, time management, how to use a variety of risk tools/software, communication etc.
I really enjoy working at JP Morgan, and feel as though the qualification offered is relevant and worth while for our career's in the finance industry. We are also lucky enough to have a whole study day given a week to enable us to have enough time preparing for exams which works well along side all the support given by both JP Morgan and BPP.
I feel valued by J.P Morgan because of the support given to not only apprentices but me as an individual.
Very. We were given a schedule at the start of the programme which simply layed out when exams are, taskbooks due, on site study days etc, which has been kept to and structured for our benefit. Events, exams etc are all well organised, with revision sessions booked in advance.
The support from BPP is great. We have one to ones with our Tutor and manager for profetional discussions, contacts for multiple lecturers if we ever need anything as well as different sources of revision, practise exam papers etc
The support network from JP Morgan is huge. The Mentoring system, committee's, management, and especially Phill and Gemma (who run the apprenticeship) have helped me a lot in the process of me joining the firm and any problems/issues i've been faced with. It's made life much easier and is one of the best things about working here.
I commute from Southampton, and still live at home with my Parents at the moment so my Salary meets my costs.
All kinds.
Yes
