I work in Cheque Processing, on a day to day basis I have to scan in the cheques that we recieve from clients and select the correct account for them to be scanned into, after this I have to input all of the information on the cheque into another programme and send it off to someone else in order for it to be verified. When all of the cheques have been input correctly I can then generate the summary sheets telling us exactly what cheques were processed and what accounts they went to. Then the cheques can be batched and sent off to the clearing banks.
I have learnt a number of different skills when working in this team for example how to distinguish between different account numbers and clients along with also developing my communication skills vastly.
I couldn't enjoy the programme anymore. It is incredibly supportive and allows alot of opportunities
Very valued, they ensure that we have all of the support that we need, and offer alot of opportunities that full time staff are offered so we aren't thought of any less
The programme is very well organised, we have an overview spreadsheet of all the deadlines for the different taskbooks and all of the lectures and exams, which ensures we know where exactly we should be on the programme
BPP offer a lot of support, after our lectures they send us questions to ensure that it all went in. we can also request exam papers and email them any time with any quesitons that we have.
All the support we need[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions]
Well, but not as well as it may meet some other apprentices as I don't live at home anymore therefore have to pay rent and bills, where as some that live at home with their parents have majority of their wages to spend on what they want.
there are alot of oppootunities outside of work including the round the island boat race, this is a race that happens on the isle of white where you can either marshall, run or cycle and a number of apprentices get the opportunity to sail on boats.
Yes
The company is a great one to work for as their are alot of opportunities for everyone.
Make sure you put all of your achievements into your CV and dont be afraid to 'big yourself up'
