I am at college full time at the moment but from what I understand I will be doing electrical installations when I am onsite, I may also be doing maintainence. at college just now I am completely a peo 2 and NC qualification
I have learned how to terminate cables, how motors work and how electricity works, I have improved my dexterity and hand eye co ordination as well as my confidence with tools
I really enjoy this programme I have learned new things and met new like minded people
Sometimes it could be better organised when we are supposed to come on site, I feel it is left last minute and then when we get onsite there is a lot of waiting around because we don't know where to go or what to do but college is always pretty organised
A lot of support I am able to contact my line managers whenever I need something and am always given what I need
I receive a lot of support this comes in the form of tutorials more notes and class time to go over things I'm unsure of
It helps a lot although I feel like it would be beneficial if it was more linked into what we would be working on onsite maybe fault finding and maintainence it exercises in the workshop would help
I'm not sure I haven't been made aware of any
Yes
It is a secure opportunity to learn whilst making money. It teaches you important lessons and supports you with whatever you need
Be open minded and flexible, you may have to be adaptable in some situations to overcome them
