Day to day I am involved in preparing corporation tax computations and returns since I work in this department and also sometimes involved in tax advisory work which varies based on my workload and my client portfolio.
I have developed my tax technical knowledge since I had none prior to starting this role and also learning how to carry out and conduct training sessions for more junior individuals.
It depends on the work I am completing I prefer tax advisory projected therefore enjoy it when I am carrying those out.
It is ok.
A lot of support in terms of being able to take study leave when it accommodates me for my exams. Exams come first.
A fair amount, I can ask managers questions on the job for example and have training sessions we run and join.
The ACA not so much this is more tailored to audit. But the CTA is very relevant specifically the TOLCG paper.
Yes we have social activities chaired by the social committee. We have started playing badminton which is fun and many networking events. We also get community strategy days to complete volunteering for example.
