I work in a team which deals with efficency changes within the bank as well as client onboarding and fund services for the accounting that accompanies the bank's cusotdy business. For the efficiency changes, my team implement new procedures across the regions of fund accounting and setup platforms where these changes are centralised. As part of the fund services role, I setup/exit accounts as well as perform restructures when clients want to move their assets between accounts. Also, when a new client starts business with the firm, I am involved in onboarding them from a fund accounting perspective.
Yes. Learn't new business specific skills. Have developed my ability to speak publicly, deal with issues and communicate with others.
I love it. It was definitely the best route for me in terms of starting a career.
I do feel valued, especially by my team and manager.
It is very well structured/organised and the support for the apprentices is immense. I definitely do not feel worried about any aspect of my job as there is always help available.
A good amount. They promptly respond to emails however some of the tasks they ask us to complete are unclear and I do struggle to see the relavance/importance of some of the parts of the apprenticeship qualification.
I get a lot of support from my employer.
I can live reasobably comfortably on my salary for where I am located. It allows me to live almost completely independently. My parents have to help me to pay for my car insurance which I need to get to work and my salary would not cover this.
Yes. There are lots of committees/sports teams and charity events etc.
Yes
I would definitely recommend JP Morgan because I am thoroughly enjoying my apprenticeship and think it is a very good route into the the career path that I am looking for.
