I work as an audit trainee. This involves taking responsibility of audit testing on assigned financial statement areas, communicating with clients and working as part of an audit team.
I have developed my communication, organisation and technical finance skills within my role.
I have really enjoyed the graduate experience as the intake has been large and sociable. It has also been beneficial to be on a structured scheme with a qualification.
The professional qualifications team are not very organised which can be difficult at time. However, there is clear and structured progression throughout the programme.
The employer provides average support.
We receive good teaching. However, the time taken to receive feedback and the quality of the feedback can be lacking.
The qualification has elements that really help to develop technical accounting knowledge. However, I believe most of my knowledge has come from on the job learning.
