I work as part of a team doing external audits, specifically for industry PIE clients. I mostly do the audit fieldwork, along with some planning and completion.
I have learned a lot of new skills specific to audit. I am required on most jobs to step into a more senior role and do more advanced work. My studies and exams have been very informative.
I enjoy the studying and training elements of the programme a lot - I am constantly learning new things and the materials are interesting. The daily work is good experience but is more focused towards corporate objectives than individual ones.
The programme is structured really well. I think the study, exams and training are scheduled in good time and fit well around busy times at work.
I receive sufficient support from my employer to complete my studies but it is not over and above my expectations.
The training provider is excellent and has been key in helping me to pass my exams.
The qualification has given me invaluable practical knowledge and helped me solve problems at work, suggest new ways to test things and identify any issues in good time.
There are social and sports events but professional networking seems limited, we tend to socialise with colleagues of the same grade.
Yes
The firm has provided good support towards achieving my ACA.
Be prepared to manage your own time well, work hard - but not too much.
