  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work on audit engagements testing the transactional and balance sheet amounts of clients. I work on large and listed clients. We have team meetings every other day. I regularly communicate with the client either in person, on teams calls, or by email.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt how to test under audit regulations. I have learnt team workings and communication skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I find the work can be quite repetitive and the exams can be difficult. I think I should receive more support and when I say I am struggling with mental health issues, this should receive more attention from my managers.

    5/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The bookings team often add our college bookings wrong which causes issues There isn't much warning when training documents are due

    5/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Not enough. I have had two line managers since joining. My first clearly did not want to be a people manager. My second is much better I feel the job managers should provide more support

    5/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Not enough. We have pressure to work more than our contractual hours when we have to study in the evenings for upcoming exams. I feel all courses should be taught in person as online courses aren't as helpful

    5/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • BPP is helpful when we are in person It is harder when courses are online

    8/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Some work socials
