I work on audit engagements testing the transactional and balance sheet amounts of clients. I work on large and listed clients. We have team meetings every other day. I regularly communicate with the client either in person, on teams calls, or by email.
I have learnt how to test under audit regulations. I have learnt team workings and communication skills.
I find the work can be quite repetitive and the exams can be difficult. I think I should receive more support and when I say I am struggling with mental health issues, this should receive more attention from my managers.
The bookings team often add our college bookings wrong which causes issues There isn't much warning when training documents are due
Not enough. I have had two line managers since joining. My first clearly did not want to be a people manager. My second is much better I feel the job managers should provide more support
Not enough. We have pressure to work more than our contractual hours when we have to study in the evenings for upcoming exams. I feel all courses should be taught in person as online courses aren't as helpful
BPP is helpful when we are in person It is harder when courses are online
Some work socials
