  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At this moment I am working in Tendering Department, in tendering I do quote for our customers and on day to day basis I have contact with our customers. However i change departments every 3 to 4 months.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my skill in using different software like, Word document, excel and power point. I have also learnt how to communicate in professional manner with our customers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • To the extend that I don't mind what day of the week it is as I'm enjoying my work, also I am happy every time i enter and leave my work area.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is organised as, we have a plan that tell us what are we working and at what time of the year. We also have meeting with my manager on a day to day basis.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The support that I have received from my employer/manager is unbelievable as when ever i need help at work or in my private life my manager/employer tries his best to help me as much as he can.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Not as much as everything is usually pressured on one teacher that is excellent at his job but they put too much pressure on him, and the result in that we are put under pressure too and have to do a lot of college work outside of work.

  • It teaches me discipline and opens my mind.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There use to be a lot of activities when I started my first year and it has changed in second year as we don't have as much activities as we did before.

  • Yes

  • It is very good when a company takes care about you and wants the best for you, and this is what Schneider Electric does.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Schneider Electric?
  • Be confident, never give up, ask questions-remember there isn't such a thing as stupid question and you are the one that is writing your own story so write what every you want but remember not to forget who you are.
