  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • Being a field based engineer, I frequently travel to customer sites fixing a variety of medical diagnostic equipment including; CT, MRI and X-ray machines.

    • I have developed a lot of skills during my apprenticeship, from both hands on skills, using tools and specialist equipment, to soft skills such as communication and how to manage difficult situations.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • I really enjoy the apprenticeship program and those I work with, especially the e variety offered in the Job and the travel.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • The programme is exceptionally well organised, with the combination of a dedicated in house training manager and Stegta.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

    • I receive plenty of support from my employer when required, which helps me balance college and work ensuring I have a good balance.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

    • Lots of support with regular catch ups/1-1s. Answering any questions and pushing me to achieve my best.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

    • Throughout my NVQ I have been documenting what I do a lot, this means by writing up about my jobs and documenting. My awareness of our working practices is improved.

    • We have two social activities a year which are always great fun
