Improved my excel skills, learning new formulas and different tools to present and work on projects. Improved my speaking skils communicating with clients and senior team members. I have also gained analytical skills from inspecting and assessing invoices. Accounting is a new concept to me so all skills I have gained so far has been learnt on the job. I can now complete Audit testing and wok papers in many areas, such as VAT, purchases, Cash and more!
I enjoy being challenged and learning new skills on the job. I like the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment when I deliver my work papers and complete my allocated areas. It can be difficult balancing the job with studying for exams.
It's decently organised as we receive study leave and training days in order to complete mandatory training. However I would prefer if exams were less spaced out as it gets difficult making plans with exam in the summer time, like August.
I receive brilliant coaching from team members who walk through any new testing areas and discuss any new procedures I'm new to. Team members are friendly, making it easy to reach out for help.
Provider provides all books and folders needed to study. All lectures are recorded making it easy to revisit and relearn any topics. When modules are self study, tutors reach out to discuss progress and queries.
The audit knowlege learnt in exams helps me understand procedures more and understand the audit terminology discussed in client calls.I'm certain that the further I delve into my studies, the more I'll thrive in my day to day role.
