No difference between an apprentice and a regular employee. You will be expected to take on responsibility for auditing certain accounts for a company, internal controls and performing engagement management.
There is no end to the opportunity for learning in this role. You have access to many internal learning, a company sponsored Udemy account and of course your qualification itself takes you through a lot of learning.
A lot of the work is mundane and busy season can be tough, but learning new concepts can be very fun and engaging.
I don't think you'll find a better system than which is present here. EY takes on hundreds of apprentices each year.
There are countless people, hotlines and teams available to you at any time.
My experience with First Intuition has been very good personally. I feel like they offer higher quality resources.
The ICAEW - ACA qualification is one of the most useful qualifications in the world in understanding and approaching anything related to business finance, tax or management.
Lots of clubs to join, regular work drinks and social events, ICAEW-sponsored events, no lack!
Yes
I feel like the opportunity that they offer is nothing to be scoffed at. The downsides are the early pay, you may not truly feel like your work is being valued when you look at your salary - but all-in it's a great opportunity.
Willingness to learn and a warm smile!
