As a field service engineer apprentice each day is different whether that is working at a new/ different hospital or working on different machinery and equipment as well as meeting new engineers to shadow daily. No jobs ever the same so the projects can change as well as the responsibilities
I have developed many new and different skills from starting the apprenticeship and believe the main skill I have developed is communication.
The programme has been brilliant apart from the COVID years that restricted my apprenticeship
When starting the apprenticeship the organisation and structure was poor but throughout the apprenticeship the structure has become clear
The employers are brilliant with all managers available at anytime to answer questions whilst also scheduling meetings monthly for teams meeting
The training provider has been good, they have been scheduling meetings every other month whilst always being happy to answer questions at any time
Some of the work that is issued from my training provider is helpful when on site but other work may not be useful.
Not that I am aware of
Yes
Earning whilst developing new skills on site as well as earning qualifications like the level 4HNC and qualifications from training both online and abroad
Great for communication skills, meeting lots of new people everyday, loads of opportunities in the future, progression is great. be enthusiastic and make sure to see and get the opportunity to see every piece of equipment
