I currently work in GACH. This involves me working with clients to manage direct debits and standing orders. These clients are based largely in Europe. With these payments being set up , I also ensure that none of which are already existing and therefore could overlap and lead to payments being made without a clients desire.
I have learnt many new skills such as touch typing and a better ability to take notes faster. These skills can be transferable to many other aspects of my life and are incredibly useful. I have also developed my existing skills on excel and branched in to the more complex areas such as pivot tables and macros.
I thoroughly enjoy the programme. It allows me to gain the experience that is invaluable as well as progress through my own accademics. The community spirit of the apprenticeship and the oppertunities both in and out of work have made this whole experience fantastic.
I feel extremly valued by JP Morgan. I feel as though I am valued for my contributions and as a regular employee. I find this highly empowering as well as a sense of pride that I work for such a reknown company.
I think my programme is very well structured. With my split of working days and studying I find that the structure works well to ensure I get the most out of both aspects and progress through both. As well as this, I feel the programme is well structured to prepare me for my job after the programme has finished.
I recieve a vast amount of support from my training provider. This is in many forms such as lectures for teaching me , numerous books for learning resources as well as face to face sessions to renforce all that we have learned.
I also recieve a great deal of support from my employeer. This comes in mnay forms such as from the schools programme VP ( who helped me move roles) , my manger and supervisors. Additionally, I recieve many seminars to help support me and make me aware of resources for more support.
My salary alone doesn't meet my costs that well as I leave on my own in a flat and have to pay many bills. However, the benefits are fantastic, especially the pension policies.
There are plenty of oppertunities outside of work that JP Morgan provide. Examples I am involved with include the Round the Island boat race, charity work with Good Works and Sports teams and socials.
Yes
The whole experience and the oppertunities available to me afterwards are uncomparable to many other companies in the same field.
To be confident yet polite. Manners are a necessity in an environment such as this , however, innovation is critical. This innovation has to have confidence and self belief behind it to sully flourish.
