I am a decision maker on universal credit. I make decisions on housing and temporary absence cases, these decisions impact my customers financially. I use phone calls and journal messages to contact customers. Day to day I select new cases and complete them using relevant legislation.
During my apprenticeship so far I have developed a lot of skills. I have started to use new skills such as self analysation and reflection. I have also developed my current customer service skills through courses on the apprenticeship
I am enjoying the apprenticeship so far. However it is challenging but that is also something I enjoy. I have received good support from the team at realise.
It is well organised as I am set tasks for every few weeks and have regular meetings with my development officer and she is there to contact if I need to speak with her
My employer is not too involved in my apprenticeship but they passed me over to the realise team and have been there if I need them.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider and they are very understanding of my level of skill and help me to develop this further
I feel as though it helps me meet a better customer service standard
We do not currently have any social activities however we are getting back to this post covid
