  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in a nursery and my role is to care and provide support for children aged 2-4 years old. I also help support the children in their early learning years through play. Along side this I monitor the children progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets and become more independent.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed lots of skills while working with children some of them include imagination, creativity, patience and enthusiasm. Some of the new skills I have learnt is the ability to stay patient when it is needed the most and how to keep a cool head. I have also developed lots of new knowledge whilst working with the children.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The program is very enjoyable and fairly easy. It allows me to have virtual webinars whilst also working full time. It is very easy and versatile. The webinars are also a great help in extending my knowledge of early years and children which help when tracking the children's development.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is very well organised with tutors and teachers well prepared and on time for webinars. The presentations are also very clear and easy to understand and the teachers also have lots of Knowle of the lesson and answer any questions we may ask with ease. Very happy with the structure of everything.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employers give me lots of support when it come to the programe and when it come to the job aswell. They allow me to take extra breaks to get work done and make sure it's complete they also allow me to complete webinars in a quite place whilst also providing with laptop.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider supports me lots whilst working toward the qualification. She allows me to ask any questions if I'm unsure of anything. She also allows me to reschedule dates when they don't fit my need.She is very understanding and supportive and does her best to ensure I get the best knowledge.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think the qualifications helps me preform better in my role as the webinars give me a better understanding of how children are and how they develop mentally, physically. It also helps give me an idea of why some children are the way they are and how their brains work. It also helps me deal with certain situations I may come across eg disruptive behaviour.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Some of the extra curricular activities that we have in my place of work is extra training such as safe guarding and first aid which allows me to gain extra knowledge and knowledge that I may not know. We also have sports day in which the we plan activities for the children to do through the day to play different sports and sporting activities.
