I am part of the Operations Control Management Team in which we support the designing of effective controls and procedures within Fund Accounting, Compliance Reporting and Trust & Fiduciary Operations.
Communication skills are constantly being developed as networking within the company is often taking place. IT Skills and Time Management skills are also developing.
The Apprenticeship Program JP Morgan are offering is an excellent way to form a career within financial services. The Programmes gives us all the support we need and organises events for us to network and have the full experience of working within JP Morgan. This has caused me to enoy the programme very much and I wouldn't want be doing anything else.
We are constantly being reviewed where positive feedback is a daily occurance. This positive feedback and the atmosphere of the workplace makes me feel like I am a a part of JP Morgan and it wants me to be.
The programme has been structured in order to give us study time for our exams and to complete our taskbooks to prove we are competent. We work 4 days in the office and one day is for lectures and private study time. This structure accomodates all aspects of the apprenticeship.
Our learning providor is excellent and quick in replying with questions and issues raised by us and give us additional materials such as questions to help us within our exams.
The apprenticeship has a specific team who dedicate their time to ensuring we are enjoying and getting the most out of the apprenticeship. They are always there if we have issues. My team are also very happy to help if i need it.
The Salary is excellent, and more than I would expect from an apprenticeship. I am able to meet costs that I may have.
Opporunities such as charity events and networking events are constantly occurring at JP Morgan and all apprentices are welcome to participate in all of these.
