I’m room lead now start as a normal practitioner at first I open and close and have key children I keep all my key children files update complete all risk assessment and make sure all children care need are meet daily I help new staff settle and attend any work meeting I need to
I learn everything I know currently as I came into this job not know much but care need I now have good understanding on eyfs and I’m DSL trained to help with safeguarding conseres I also know lot about the different theorist and and law and regulations that need to be upheld
I enjoyed it all as it help me develop further into my career as I am now room lead and be looking at doing senco training and my level 5 in the coming months hopefully and without this course I wouldn’t be able to do my career I’m in
It great I can reach out for help whenever needed and it very flexible around my work so I don’t have to worry about work and attending the webinars I have to complete to be able to past the course all the side tasks that get set help to get off the job hours completed too
My employer have help me so much through all this from give me time to attend class to asking me random questions and question airs to see where I am at and what they need to help me develop on further they all give opportunities to further your learning with real life experience
I am able to contact them whenever I am needed they do regular visits to work to see how I am progressing and keep you to date with what you have to complete in order to stay on track they have different ways to complete professional discussions where they you just talk about the subject or they ask you questions about it
It help be better at my job as I built on my knowledge and understanding around child care and with everything I have learnt and the way I perform at work I been able to move up to room lead in my job and talks of possible more in the future.
I been able to go to meeting with management that helped better understand the room lead position. We do try to go out as a group every now and again. And we try to take the children out for trip to the park when possible. We all get to know about any childcare event coming up that we call go to.

It amazing company to work for, they support you with everything you trying to achieve whether it work or person, we treat each other like a family and always help out other when we can. Everyone there is easy to talk to and understanding if there something going on and very supportive
To be open and honest about everything, everybody helps everyone where your new to working in childcare or been doing it for year, don’t feel like you can’t talk to anyone as everyone will listen even if it just a case you need to rant about something and most of all enjoy helping children learn and develop
