On a daily basis I come in greet the children ask who wants breakfast and prepare it for them. We then start our day the children are split into different rooms so one room isn’t too overcrowded there will be something different for the children to do in each room we have planned activities to do with our key children everyday to help encourage development. We provide 2 snacks a dinner and a tea.
I have learnt many new skills as well as adapting on previous knowledge. Some things I have learned how to apply philosophical approaches to my practice and how they can positively impact the way the children develop other things that I’ve developed on is building bonds with children of all ages.
I enjoy my program very much. I think it’s a great opportunity to learn new things as well as being in practice so you still get to be with children all day long and watch them develop and help them develop as well as learning on the job and showing tutors, your knowledge and what you’ve learnt.
I think that the program is very well organised. We seem to be getting through at a regular pace and if anyone ever is falling behind, we always get the support that we need, and if we ever need any more resources they are always provided to us the webinars, her always well thought out and well delivered.
I think my employer can be really helpful when it comes to asking questions I would like answers to and explaining things that I might not fully understand. They make sure I am in other rooms as well as my own to make sure I am getting time to bond and learn in other rooms and age groups
I am supported as and when needed they always make sure I have all my resources and help and if I require some extra resources or have any questions they always 100% answer in a way I understand. I am confident in the work that I am doing when I ask for help.
I think that this helps me perform better in my role, because after I have learnt something new in awhile, an hour from being observed, I can then apply it to my practice from when I have learnt it. I can keep up my continued professional development using new skills. I’ve learnt from webinars and from my training provider.
We don’t have extracurricular activities, but we currently do you have a charity that we have one reason for and there will be a sponsored walk for that which the team are doing together and it’s a walk to Hartshead Pike to raise money for children with additional needs.
Yes
I would recommend realise, because I think that the process is very well thought out and it sticks to a good time frame, so I don’t feel like I’m falling behind and I always have Work in and there’s always time made for me to get my work done
Ensure that you were always asking the relevant questions and don’t be afraid to ask of you and Joe, something always ask because the team agree in getting to answer your questions are making sure that you have the right resources to do your work to your best standard
