The work experience programme involved us participants to watch videos, read short articles. Using these mediums, we would then answer questions showing that we understood the contents of the videos and articles. We were also tasked with taking part in short projects where we would be doing our own research and creating a document to submit.
During my work experience placement I learnt many skills and I have also developed many skills during it as well. One skill is how to produce a piece of work that is of high quality. Another skill I learnt is time management, as during my work experience placement there were multiple webiners that we had to the part in which would have contributed to our understanding.
I enjoyed the work experience placement alot as it showed me that the staff working at that company felt comfortable as Siemens would provide them would flexibility in when and where they work. Another thing I enjoyed is that they showed us that Siemens gave their staff alot of opportunities.
My work experience placement was very well organised and presented as shown in the webinars as during them, the staff participating had planned out the topics of that they were going to talk about during it. This meant that the viewers new when which topics would be discussed and allowed to ask questions that were on topic.
During the work experience placement I learnt alot about the culture of the company as a lot of the staff talked about how they were able to get many opportunities to work at different offices across the globe and how they had options to work from home. Furthermore many of the staff mentioned that they could ask for help easily.
My work experience placement helped me decide on my future career path as it gave me an idea of what my future may look like if I continued on with what I want to do right now. As many of the staff were open and talked about the company.
During the worn experience placement I was not paid or reimbursed for the experience as it was a free online work experience. Thus I applied with understanding that I would receive nothing in return from Siemens as it was not stated beforehand that I would be getting paid by participating.
Yes during the work experience placement there were many chances to opt in to the webinars which included Siemens staff talking about their experience at the company, work life and flexibility. The viewers were also able to ask many questions about the staff and they would reply to these questions the best they could.
