The work experience that I completed with Siemens was greats and taught me a lot. The information of text, videos, forms and interactive quizzes helped as it also tests to make sure I understood the information and could use it in the correct context. The videos were helpful, straight to the point and very informative. I would recommend any student in IT to complete this course as it puts the information from your course info practice
Understanding different information given to me in different ways such as text, images, video, forms and quizzes. It also taught me how their company runs and functions day to day and that not every day is the same. I believe that teaching students that in IT that not every day is the same is good as it’s always changing
I enjoyed the work experience very well and thought that it was great, it had the right amount of information, forms to fill, videos length and speed and had the right amount of difficulty. The fact that it was in the IT industry made it more enjoyable and relatable to the career path that I want to do
The work experience was very well organised. The work experience was very easy to understand with text information at the start, forms and videos next the finished with quizzes to make sure that the information was understood by me and was in the correct context to make sure I fully understood all of the information given to ms
I learnt a lot about the company and the company culture and work processes and procedures. It was very easy to understand how the company worked day to day and how it functions. I believe this is good for all students to learn as it teaches them that each tech company may run differently to what they are experiencing
I was already going to head into the IT industry but this work experience also helped me choose that tech is definitely the right choice of a career for me and my future. I would recommend this for any student that is on the fence of having a career in IT as it will give them the necessary information to make the best choice for them
No I was never paid for this work expense and wasn’t expecting to be as it was part of my college course requirements work expense hours. If they would like to pay me for this work expense that would be grate but it wouldn’t be a deciding factor for me
No there was no opportunities for networking and meeting other employees as I never physically met any employees they were all shown in the online pictures and videos thought and looked very friendly and helpful. As there was no face to face contact this meant that there was no chance for any networking
Yes
As it was a very good work expense and taught me a lot about the IT industry and tech as a whole. It also taught me a lot about how their company works and functions and also teaches how different companies may function different depending on their sector and style of company.
Go for it as it will teach you a lot, not only about the company themselves, it will also teach you about the IT industry and yourself to see if you and IT will go well together. If you are on the fence about going into IT then this is the best thing for you as it will give you all the information for making the best decision for you
