  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

    • I work in a complex SEN school from ages 7- 19 years of age. I deal with challenging behaviours on a daily basis, I'm responsible for incident reports, ABC charts. I have a licence for Pro Script which gets renewed every january to be able to use interventions when necessary.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

    • Yes 100% I Hadn't worked since having my son so this was a huge career change for myself. It's extremely exhausting but incredibly rewarding and going that extra mile to exceed to become the best SSA .

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

    • It's not been easy but it's defiently been a journey and I have come such a long way since starting back in september 2020, I have become very confient in myself and knowing that I'm doing a great job.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

    • The start it wasn't very well organised and communication was an issue as I didn't have a tutor and then I had a tutor and his knowledge wasn't very good he didn't even no that i work in a SEN school.

    • I don't have much to do with them.

    • My new tutor scarlet is fab, if only I had from the start of my journey

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

    • The girls at work organise charity walks.
