  • I work in a setting with children aged 3-5 years. I am responsible for making sure they are safe, happy and reaching their potential. • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt so many new skills since starting my new role. I completed the three day first aid course at the beginning of my employment so that was a huge learning curve. Being in the classroom has taught me lots of new things, such as learning to remain calm in all situations, teaching children how to regulate their emotions, learning alternative ways of teaching children with additional needs. Learning the goals of the eyfs framework and how we implement that.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I find the programme to be really well organised, I have a webinar each month together with a zoom call with my tutor. After the call with my tutor I have work set which I then have 4 weeks to complete. The system used to upload all of my work is easy to use and all of the course material is easily accessible.
