My role involves supporting ESG strategy implementation across multiple real estate investment portfolios. I help with reporting and data coverage, which involves communicating with various stakeholders and teams both internally and externally (the client).
I have learnt the importance of ESG in regards to the property sector, which has involved developing skills from communication to report writing. Furthermore have developed my skills in time management and responsibility.
I enjoy the program and how varied it is, have lots of exposure to new things and have the opportunity to learn from industry experts.
We are the first cohort on my programme at work so there has been some teething problems with organisation however, the training side (Kingston University) is well structured with a day release and assignments.
I do get support from my employer and colleagues, however the balance between workload and uni assignments is sometimes tricky.
There is support in place if you require it from lecturers and staff at university and help with assignments if you require.
I think lots of the skills learnt at university can help with the day to day role, however some of the knowledge isn't sometimes relevant to the work that I do currently.
There are lots of social events and a 5 a side football team that I am involved with.
Yes
It is a good employer with a good culture. The work is varied and interesting and there is opportunity to develop skills in multiple service lines and departments.
Be yourself and show that you are keen to learn and work hard.
