  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed communication skills, punctuality, and many more. I have also gotten better at using Microsoft software

    8/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy it a lot as I’m always learning new things within the company and everyone is very helpful

    8/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I think it is structured quite well however there is definitely a few things that could be more organised, for example we could have a trainee programme for a bit on our role so that when we join we understand more about how everything works

    5/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support, if I’ve ever had an issue with anything they’ve made sure to pick up on it instantly!

    10/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider isn’t as good, there is definitely a lot of things they could work on such as communication

    4/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I think that if we had formal training from the beginning then it would’ve made the qualification easier, however the training provider doesn’t really do much to make sure that everything is running smoothly. Apprentices can perform well in their role without the qualifications aspect.

    4/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes there are many within the company that anyone is free to choose to participate in

    10/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend M&G to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because although there may be some problems with communication with the apprenticeship side, it isn’t M&G’s fault, they have been nothing but helpful, I feel as if most the issues come from the qualification side of everything.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to M&G?
  • Stay dedicated and ask lots of questions! Everyone within the company is willing to help and will never make you feel ashamed to ask questions.
