Managing people, equipment and product. Making sure products sold are within parameters set by the company, all policies and procedures are followed.
I have been learning new skills along my apprenticeship program. But before that, I've always been keen to learn new things on a daily basis.
I had enough information when I started it, I've also was given the tools for it and how to complete lessons, meetings and work. I've also noticed that maybe the coaches we have might have a lot of apprentices to double check and that makes the review of our learning a bit slower.
I believe is really well organized. Every month we have different tasks to do, several lessons to learn and learn on our own pace, however we all have to have the minimum set of hours required monthly to accomplish our monthly goal set. The meetings have been scheduled for the whole apprenticeship, so is easier to give the dates to our employer and also to plan ahead.
My employer has been very helpful and is trying his best to give me all the information and time necessary to start and continue my program. He is keen to teach me new goals and even setting a personal development program for me so I can learn new things every month.
Like I previously said before, I got enough information when starting my program. Information related to how to complete lessons, join meetings and different websites to learn and develop my learning. But, I've also realized that sometimes the answers I can get are very lengthy on time and if sometimes I need support at that specific time, I might not get it.
This is all about learning new skills and deepen the knowledge I already have. I will have a bigger understanding of our business and be able to support my fellow managers and staff. Also being able to help further the business by knowing the financials involved and also the law.
There are activities to do while at work, and off work. Learning lessons and that will count towards my learning. Anything that can increase my knowledge, is new, and is something that I can apply and related to what I'm studying I can use it towards my hours for apprenticeship.
Yes
Flexible hours, friendly and caring people. A lot of rules and procedures in place to make sure everyone has the same rights and is equal in terms of salary. Personal development is really important so there is always training and learning being done everyday, either is new or just on going.
Be true to yourself, be hard worker, be friendly and respect others. Have an open mind since we have so many people with different religions, ideas and values. Be punctual and be prepared to work hard and following all the procedures we have. Most people think is easy job, but in reality we have a lot going on.
