I work within the Transport Planning team assisting in the development of Travel Plans, Transport Plans, Mitigation documents and Transport Assessments. I use software such as GIS, Microstation, InDesign, Podaris and PowerBi. I have had the opportunity to work on exciting projects such as HS2 and Commonwealth Games.
Prior to working at Arup i had no experience, i am now confident in my role and what is expected of me.
Though balancing university and work is difficult - i do not regret doing it. Being able to earn and learn at the same time is a amazing opportunity. By the time i have finished my course i will have 8 years experience and a degree with no dept !
I am a trail blazer, so it has been a roller coaster, however for years below me i believe this has improved.
I am well supported by my employer
