I lead a busy toddler room with 6 members of staff. I make sure that children needs are met and make any changes /raise concerns if I believe would benefit children. I overview the planning and support other members of staff if they need help. I am very aware of all nursery policies and procedures. I am confident at raising safeguarding issues.
Yes, this apprenticeship showed me different types of leadership, it also enriched my knowledge of child development and different theories to support it. I feel more confident and inspired to become best early years educator I can be. I am very much supported by my manager and my tutor to achieve this.
I really enjoy reading books on given literature list, it gives me so much more information to put in practice. I also enjoy all the extra training courses we can do, which depends my knowledge even further. In general I am very happy with this apprenticeship and I am glad I had a opportunity to do it.
It’s very organised and structured. Webinars are clear, so is the tasks that we need to do. My tutor, Shelley, is also very helpful and reachable by messages or emails. One file system is also very user friendly, which makes it easy to navigate and find any needed information
A lot. I have weekly catch ups with my manager/ deputy manager to discuss how much time I need to do off the job training, or if I need any support to complete any tasks. They try their best to cover me for my webinars too and so far I only had to reschedule once.
My tutor is very approachable and lovely lady. I can reach her over the email, messaging on one file system or WhatsApp. She usually replies to me within one business day. She is very patient and explains anything I don’t understand so I can do the best job to achieve my qualifications
I feel constantly inspired to do things at work! Deepening my knowledge about children and their development made it so much easier to understand them(children) and help them to maximise their learning and get them to achieve their potential. I feel more confident in dealing with unwanted behaviour and supporting my team.
Not really.
Yes
So far I had an amazing experience with them
