During the placement I am currently on, I shadow a qualified Project Manager and work through work that has been set by me. An example of the work may be communicating with the contractor around Utilities or other problems, or I may prep Early Warning or General Communication to the Contractor.
Since starting this apprenticeship I feel I have become more confident in myself. I can now openly talk and introduce myself to people and it has given me the feeling of responsibility, to do my job at a good level.
I really enjoy my Programme. Especially doing it with HS2, this is great experience working on the biggest Project in the UK ever. It really is a once in a lifetime opportunity .
Very organized and well structured. You are never stuck doing one thing, there is many opportunities to move around to fulfil your knowledge of the programme.
From my employer, I receive a good amount of support. It is always good to do things on my own to learn but when I am struggling, there is always support there for me.
We have recently moved training provider so do not know. However, the last provider we was with, was very helpful and offered support when needed.
Gaining this qualification, will help me to be more knowledgeable on Project Management, which will allow me to hopefully off board into a Assistant Project Manager role. However, gaining this qualification, drives me to pass and do well.
Yes there are many activities available. School Visits, Volunteering Days, Workshops, Training Courses, All Staff Events.
