On a day to day basis I speak to customers via phone calls and journal messages. I gather all the evidence needed and then when I have this I make a decision based on the evidence collected. I then provide a letter to the customer so they are aware of the outcome.
I have definitely gained a lot of knowledge in this sector as it is something I was very new too. I am confident with daily tasks and having the knowledge to speak to internal and external customers. I am aware of what responsibilities I have and how to achieve them.
I am currently enjoying my programme and finding it very useful for day to day in my job role. The research aspect has been very useful as this has helped me find out different things about the organisation that I may not have looked into in so much depth without the programme.
The programme I am undertaking has been very well organised. I have check in calls to make sure I know what I need to be doing and also Lorraine as a direct contact should I ever need anything. Every step is explained thoroughly for me to be able to complete the tasks I need too and the structure is great as it has been broken down so makes it easier to concentrate on each bit rather than being bombarded with lots of different info all at once
I receive a lot of support from my line manager. I have a full day off the job to be able to complete all of my tasks and if for any reason I can not complete my apprenticeship day on my allocated day (due to holiday) they allow me to complete it on a different day to make sure I do not get behind.
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. always makes sure that she schedules a call in to discuss any new tasks I have or just to check in to make sure I am ok with everything provided. She always runs through everything thoroughly and is always on hand if I need any further help.
I find that the qualification that I am going through helps me perform better through my role as I am very customer service based so it has taught me a lot already about dealing with different customers types and also how to deal with things in different situations. It has also helped me identify what to look out for with vulnerable customers
There is a group of people who plan different social activities for the team. This can be for special events or just random times where we have not socialised for a while. We have payday lottery every month and also have team meetings that we take part in a quiz. There are always opportunities for different training calls.
Yes
I think that it is a very good place to work. You are supported by your managers. It is very flexible and has very good benefits. The team is great and everybody supports each other. There is full training provided so you are fully trained on your role and then further support after the training should you need to ask anything.
The advice I would give is to go for it. Make sure to stick with the application process as this can take a while to fill in as there are different stages but once the application is filled out it is then there to be used should you want to apply for any other departments internally.
