I look after a team of 11-12 people , we are responsible for sales and marketing of DAF Trucks and the Aftersales and Products that the brand offers . We are repsponsible for the West and South Yorkshire area . Day to day brings challenges which can be product , financial or operational . Every days is varied and we are never stood about without anything to do.
i have learned to delegate better , plan and review in a more organised way. I have had an increase in my own confidence as i i have picked up many other skills due to the course. The course has also given me structure to my working week and this has been seen ins ome of my plans and meetings .
i found the start of the program difficult due to the traingn being based on Teams, this didnt give any engagement and i felt it difficult to engage due to the lack of connection with other students . i honestly didnt start to engage to the latter months , but perserverance has prevailed
Time management and the pressures keeping up with daily work taskes were difficult . i have learned to plan better as result and this has given me confidence to plan better due to time rpessures from the course. i think at times the course was given priority over daily work , but hopefull y my final steps will be to the benfit of my success
i found at times isolated as the time needed was bombarded by the challenges of my priorities within my job. if i could suggest one thing , it would be to hold regular courses away from the office as even thought i was in an office with the door shut , people continue to come to you during the course
i was offered support nearer the end of the course because i didnt hold enought self disciplline to make myself a priority. my tutor helped me with the English & Maths test and because i was out of education at this level for over 36 yrs , i needed and received the support i did need
i have carried out many of the items included in the course through manufactuer and previous trainig courrses. this as previoulsy started has benefited me and given structure and confidence during decision and planning. i hope the qulification identifies to my employer the commitment i have given to the qulification and the respect the hard work that has gone into the course
i take part in meetings for the manufacture to support the sales of DAF products and its services but since COVID feel that the real bond created previously in our business comunity may heave decreased. Due to sections of the course i have thought learned more about charachter and this has helped during plans for the few social events we have been involved in
Yes
