  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the social side of the course, everyone is helpful and friendly. Whenever I am stuck and need help, they are always there to help and support. My tutor is so helpful and really kind and funny. If I am struggling, she is really understanding and finds time in her day to help out and make sure I am staying on track.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured well. They give you plenty of notice and you know your deadline dates straight away so you know after completing one module how many weeks or months you have. This helps as it does not stress you out.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • The employer is great. If I need to spend the whole day on my coursework, then they understand and tell me to crack on. They understand it's me working towards a better future for myself. They encourage this as much as possible and if I am behind, then they will make sure I spend the time catching up.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider are a great help. They give me clues on where to search for my work if I am struggling and if there is any issue with my work then they are quick to tell me what needs to be done. This releases a lot pressure in the workplace and on the course.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have already started to see a change in myself. I am more professional and I am learning how to deal with high end issues in the workplace that management would normally step in.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • No, there aren't any, but we do organise to go down to the local pub on the Friday and for everyone to come and have a social outside work. This helps build morale and keeps the team all together.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Lawsons to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Cause they are professional and they understand what their employee's need, they are a family run business so they are all for the working class, they offer a great bonus scheme every year if we are successful in making a profit in the financial year and they look at our pay every year to go with the inflation that we are currently seeing.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lawsons?
  • Please give it your all. Your manager and the guys in the head office will notice and they will hear about your hard efforts. You are not just a number at Lawson's. We are a big family and we all chip in, you will go places if you put all your effort in.
