  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am responsible for gathering, analysing, and interpreting data to support business decision-making. I glean insights from data that would otherwise be invisible using my knowledge of mathematics, statistics, programming, and machine learning. I have to clean the data and get it ready for analysis when I collect it. This includes cleaning up errors, adding values where there are gaps, and formatting the data so that it can be analysed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have improved upon and learned a few new talents. Python is a programming language that I've mastered for use in data science. Prior to learning Python, I was only familiar with the R programming language. However, Python is more widely used and has access to a greater variety of libraries and tools.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My data science course is really fun for me. I enjoy the chance to learn from seasoned experts and find the subject matter to be both hard and fascinating. The curriculum is comprehensive. Math, statistics, programming, and machine learning are just a few of the many topics it covers. As a result, I have a solid foundation in data science and am able to be a more diverse data scientist.

  • My data science programme is well-structured and organised, in my opinion. The programme is created to give students a firm foundation in data science foundations as well as the abilities and information required to apply these fundamentals to challenges encountered in the real world. Additionally, there are chances for students to get practical experience within the programme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer gives me a lot of help. They give me the tools I need, such a strong computer, access to data sets, and training opportunities, to execute my job. They give me a robust PC loaded with the most recent applications. I can now use sophisticated machine learning and data analysis methods thanks to this.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider offers me a lot of assistance. They give me access to a wide range of tools, including tutorials, mentors, and online classes. They also give me access to a number of online lessons and courses. I am able to learn at my own pace and concentrate on the areas where I most need assistance.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe that my certification from my training provider enables me to work more effectively in my position. I now have the knowledge and expertise required to work as a data scientist as a result of it. Data gathering, data cleansing, data analysis, and data visualisation are all included in this. I can gather information and analyse it using these abilities in order to solve issues and come to wise judgement.

  • Employees can also join a variety of sporting teams, such as the office softball team or the running club. Employees can also participate in a variety of professional networking events, including conferences and workshops. These events are a fantastic way to expand your knowledge, make new friends, and keep up with the most recent developments in your business.

  • Yes, If a friend was looking for an apprenticeship, I would suggest Google. Google is a fantastic employer and provides a range of apprenticeship programmes in many sectors. An excellent method to develop new skills, get experience, and network with other professionals is through an apprenticeship at Google. It also has a great company culture that is focused on collaboration, innovation, and learning.

  • It's critical to project confidence and enthusiasm when submitting an application . The employer will want to see that you are enthusiastic about the chance and dedicated to your career. During the interview, be ready to discuss your qualifications and experience. The employer will be curious in your motivations for applying to the apprenticeship programme and why you believe you would make a good fit for the business.
