My role is a sales counter employee dealing with a lot of internal customers as well as external customers when sourcing goods. I also assist in the yard by loading customers up with heavy goods such as bulk bags.
Through being made aware of skills, I have been able to incorporate them to my natural habits through research and trial and error such as the ability to link sell.
I throughly enjoyed my programme as it has given me a better understanding of what it takes to work in this kind of environment.
From the moment I started the programme, the structure of how and when tasks were being done was made available to me which helps when you are able to get ahead as it allows you to stay ahead.
My employer gave me a lot of support, whether that be by giving me time to complete my work or by answering questions that I had throughout.
My apprenticeship coach always supported and pushed me in the right direction when working towards my qualification.
I feel that because of my apprenticeship it has allowed me to work to a much higher standard than before.
At work, we occasionally go out on social events such as bowling or for a few drinks.
