On a day to day basis we come into work and either work landside or airside. If landside our job consists of checking people in and if airside we board flights and work in the lounges for our premium customers. We may also work on the customer service desks.
Since starting my apprenticeship I have gained more confidence with technology as I use the systems on the computers to board and check in customers.
Personally I really enjoy the programme and like meeting all the different people we get to meet on a day-day basis.
I feel the programme is well structured and that the trainers are really helpful when you are first learning.
I receive a lot of support. If there’s ever any issue I feel I always have someone to contact who will help me out. I think because we are apprentices they do take good care of us.
I received a lot of help for this and when I felt I was falling behind I asked one of our apprenticeship leads for help and she let me have some extra days as study days.
The monthly workshops held where a member of seetec comes in is really helpful and the staff are always there to support if you get stuck.
There are quite a few! British Airways is partnered with Comic Relief so there’s always charity things you can sign up to! There’s also thing such as BA’s got talent which you can take part in!
Yes
I enjoy the experience of working with them and find it a good company for pay etc.
Just be yourself and go for it. The pay isn’t bad for an apprenticeship and the staff travel is definitely worth it!
