Supporting children in KS3 and KS4 some of which have complex health or education needs
During my apprenticeship I have learnt many new skills which have assisted me in my day to day working life allowing me to perform my job role in a more professional way. I was able to use my previous experience within my apprenticeship allowing me to further enhance my skills
My tutor was supportive and helpful throughout the apprenticeship and with her support I was able to understand and compleat what was expected if me to compleat the course. The apprenticeship was very informative and the fact that your at work as well as learning allows you to put skills learnt into practice immediately
The course is very well set out and paced I didn't feel rushed in any of the units but I also didn't feel bored or find it hard to find things to do for the work. The information provided was informative and allowed me to gain the knowledge I needed to Excell in my learning journey
My employer was supportive the entire way through the apprenticeship allowing me to undertake tasks that allowed me to put my learning into practice. They have also been there to ask for support in units and with information such as school policy's etc. Allowing me to achieve the highest potential on the apprenticeship scheme
My training provider was there for me the entire way allowing me to gain the most out of the apprenticeship, I am mildly dyslexic and this was catered for throughout the entire apprenticeship without any trouble, nothing was too much for my tutor and I felt well supported throughout it
I have gained needed knowledge to enhance my understanding of the learning support assistant role within a secondary school and feel I am able to perform my role better within the academy due to this.
Within my workplace I run a photography group with the year 10 and 11 students to support their GCSE, I also run a phonics intervention daily with the year 7 8 and 9 students who have a low reading age to allow them to access the curriculum easier by improving their reading ability
Yes
Oasis has a family feeling not only for the students who attend but also within the staff force, it's a welcoming place with a highly motivated staff force looking to enable children to make the best of their education no matter their background or previous education. Allowing young people to shape their future
Don't hesitate it was the best decision I made
