Looking after children in a safe and happy environment. Making sure all there needs are met, providing all meals, snacks and bottles as well toileting needs. Following any dietary requirement that the children need. Following all policy and procedures to keep staff and children safe in the setting and workplace.
So far i have learnt about British values, safeguarding, fire safety and prevention of infection diseases as well as food hygiene. I have also had an insight on how the governments policies influences the early years frameworks, which Development Matters and BirthTo5Matters. I have also been able to look through these frameworks thoroughly.
What i enjoy most about this learning experience is the amount of wider learning i am achieving. Also it is nice to confirm what i already know, which is more than i thought. Extending my knowledge on theorists has been slightly overwhelming at times, but also the most new information i have taken in.
I believe that Realise is a very well organised and structured programme. There are ample resources on the OneFile platform to help with any of the topics you are on and needing to complete. The assessors are available too contacted at anytime and respond within good time too. You are given a list of visits dates well in advance too.
The amount of support my employer provides is, what i believe, as sufficient as it can be. On our less busy days we time to complete any work needed for course. They also check in with us after every webinar and every visit from our assessor to make sure we are ok.
the amount of support I receive from my training provider is on the very supportive end. They are there to answer any questions and respond in ample time. My assessor is always willing to give as much support as she can to help with my course work and wider learning.
Completing this qualification has made realise how much we do everyday without really thinking about it. It is all part of the day to day care we provide. I fell that i am now more aware of how and why we do things the way we do them making me a better practitioner.
At my current workplace there are little extra-curricular activities to get involved in however the teams in each room will have get togethers outside of work socially to keep a good work-life balance. We have a Christmas and a summer whole setting get together. Our employer also understands that many of us have families at home so we are not pressured intaking part.
Yes
As i have stated in previous questions i feel that Realise gives a great amount of support and provide resources to no end. The assessors will always be happy to point you in the right direction if you are still unsure on a certain topic. I am very happy to completing my learning with Realise.
Even though i have stated that there are plenty of resources available to the learners i think that sometimes that they can be harder to find than they need to be. They are not always in the location stated by the assessor therefore you have to go digging for them yourselves which can be time consuming.
